Aisling Bea

Aisling B a, born 16 March 1984 in Kildare Ireland. Bea was on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly known by her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984), is an Irish actress, writer and comedian. Bea began her stand-up comedy career in 2011, after appearing as a guest on a variety of Irish TV shows as well as British series from 2009. From 2012 on she was on sketch comedy shows or sitcoms. In 2012, after winning an award in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for different panel shows, where she is now a regular. She was a member of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team between 2016 and 2017 and is an ongoing contestant on its spinoff, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. She was the winner of the So You Think You're Funny Award twice. The surname of Bea is in honor of her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born on the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine veterinarian who killed himself when she was just three. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she turned thirteen. Bea was her stage name. Bea was a tribute for her father. She published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were brought up within the home of Helen Moloney, who was a school instructor and trainer of jockeys who was also a professional jockey. The family was obsessed with race meetings and horses. Bea began her career as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea realized at an early age that racing wasn't for her.
